Disaster Relief

One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"
"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'"
-Mark 12:28-31 (NIV)

Christ came to this world to serve not to be served!

Since the conception of 12 Stones Fellowship God has been using our church family to serve others in time of disaster, be it tornado, hurricanes, flood or fire. God has allowed us to assemble teams to help others in need. This outreach accomplishes many things, but significantly it restores life in an otherwise hopeless situation. The people affected by these disasters see the loving arms of Christ. In some cases they are even helped to restore or find a new relationship with Christ through the love & actions of other believers.

As with many of the outreach ministries at 12 Stones we don’t believe in "re-inventing the wheel." God has already put into action other outreach ministries, so we just go where we God is already working.

Locally we work closely with Servant Senders.

Nationally we work closely with Calvary Relief.

God has allowed us to Serve him in many ways both Locally and Nationally, some of the places God has allowed us to supply needs or taken us for disaster relief are:

  • Henryville Indiana (Tornado)
  • Joplin Missouri (Tornado, Supplies for Relief effort)
  • Bay St. Louis Mississippi (Hurricane Isaac)
  • Little Axe Oklahoma (Tornado)
  • Staten Island New York (Super Storm Sandy)
  • aylor Texas (Floods)
